I think this is the best and only "good" photograph I have taken this winter of 2014. It is a studio shot that I took of one of those rattly weed stems with the dry flowers on them. I took this photo with my D3000 and an 18-55 kit lens with a macro filter, which was mounted on a tripod in my room. It was back-lighted with a lamp with a fancy lamp shade that makes it look like there are other weeds and such in the background. I side-front lit this photo with my Neewer TT560 $40 speedlight and a homemade diffuser. I sat this plant up by putting it in a flashlight aluminum shell. And edited the final photo in Adobe Lightroom. Hope you like it!
